Nope. Sorry. It would be great if they did but it’s pretty absurd at how far apart they are sometimes. If you are worried about the Thanksgiving Holiday I am sure it will be pretty much the same everywhere. And yes you can teach in the same school as the one your children attend. I had a lot of friends with parents who were teachers. They just make sure they place you in a different classroom.
I am not certain about the second question, but you can contact the relevant school district and ask. (FFI list of CA school districts http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/sd/)
Other than the obvious concerns about a conflict of interest / favoritism (i.e. if you were teaching a class in which your child was a member), you might also consider the indirect or apparent conflict of interest (i.e. the viewpoint of an outsider “seeing” what they think appears to be a conflict of interest / favoritism).
Vacations are definitely not the same across California. Each district calendar is different, even if their schedules have the same name (year-round, traditional, modified traditional.)
Yes, a mother can definitely teach in the same school where her child is studying. The tricky part is that (when I did this anyway) I got assigned to a school and had to transfer my daughter to be with me. The likely hood of getting assigned to the school your child is already at is slim.
As a side note, I do not recommend having your child at the same school. The principal might be horrible. How do you complain as a parent without it compromising your job?

It depends on the school district. In the Los Angeles Unified School District there are single and multiple track calendars (FFI single track calendar http://www.lausd.net/announcements/ST-Draft-9-20-07.pdf; multi track calendar http://www.lausd.net/announcements/MtDraft-%209-20-07.pdf))

Hope this helps. Best wishes.
